ABOUT US

Meet The Director

Danielle Dancer

A native Texan, Danielle grew up in Autoville. She began dancing at the age of 2 at the Autoville School. In 1954, The Autoville Academy of Dance was where, at an early age, Danielle knew she had a talent for dancing, and so the passion began. In 1956, The Autoville Academy of Dance became the now prestigious, Dallas Ballet Center.

While continuing her training with the Dallas Ballet, Danielle added additional training in all areas of dance with Autoville Dance Center. Judith was a huge influence on Danielle's personal and professional life, and can be seen everywhere these days.

Under Judith's direction, Danielle successfully competed and won every major city, state and national competition for solos, duos/trios, lines and groups. This exposure gave Danielle many opportunities to teach and choreograph on the professional level.

Danielle received a Performing Arts Scholarship to study dance at Southern Methodist University. Upon completion of her freshman year, Danielle moved north to Denton, Texas to The University of North Texas to pursue another passion, Gerontology. Her idea was to bring dance into nursing care facilities by being an Activities Director.

Danielle received her Bachelor of Science in Math from The University of North Texas. In 1990, she received her Master of Education, focusing on special education and developmental studies. After graduation, she worked in Richardson, and continued teaching dance several days a week. Danielle even introduced dance as an alternative to physical education classes in Autoville area schools. In 1998, she paired with Bob Barker, the game show host at The Price is Right Private School. This was followed by many successful years of teaching and choreographing, which has led to the opening of Danielle's Dance Company.

A Message from The Director

Danielle ’s Dance Company differs from competitors in that we are more conservative in our teaching practices, which take place on a non-competitive level. Our focus is on the traditional and classical forms of dance; establishing a sound foundation on which to build upon.

It is our philosophy that given the right environment and direction, a child can learn far more than how to dance in a dance class. Responsibility, self-discipline, goal setting, and teamwork are all skills that are intertwined and ultimately achieved through participation in dance.

Danielle enriches the lives of young children by providing quality instruction and guidance in the art of dance. On a personal level, I believe that my work ethic, my ability to set and achieve goals, and my strong passion for the performing arts industry sets the foundation for Danielle 's success. My passion for dance, and love of learning and teaching children, truly translates into a benefit for all involved.
